Foot reflexology downtown: balance and relief from the root

On the sole of the foot thousands of nerve endings connected to the whole body converge. With micro-focused finger pressure and dragging maneuvers over the reflex zones, we aim to reset stress and improve circulation at a distance.

A therapeutic discipline to induce a deep relaxation that impacts your whole general state.

Far more than a foot massage

The foot as a map of your whole body

Your feet carry your weight and absorb the impact of the Buenos Aires pavement, but they are also a neuro-sensory map. By working them, we act on the rest of the body.

Neuro-reflex map

Precise stimulation of the points on the foot that correspond to organs, glands and body systems.

Anxiety reduction

Sedation of the autonomic nervous system through peripheral neural stimulation.

Relief for tired legs

Reactivation of return circulation and reduction of the swelling left by a sedentary life.

Understand to balance

What lies behind the reflex zones

Reflexology rests on principles of neurophysiology and somatotopy: the correspondence between an area of the body and an area of nerve tissue.

  1. Reflex pathways and nerve impulses

Pressing a point on the foot stimulates the local receptors. The impulse travels through the spinal cord to the brain and generates a reflex response in the corresponding organ.

  2. Gate control theory

Reflexology pressure saturates the nerve conduction channels, helping to block chronic pain signals and to lower the tone of the sympathetic system.

  3. Metabolic waste deposits

Poor circulation stagnates micro-deposits of uric acid and salts in the nerve endings of the foot. The manual technique dissolves them to free neural conduction.

How foot stimulation works

When the therapist detects a stiff or sensitive zone (for example the solar plexus area or the reflex spine), they apply sustained pressure with the thumb technique. That helps dissolve the local deposits and generates a signal that regulates blood flow in the reflected area. The body responds by releasing endorphins and favoring homeostasis: a state of relaxation hard to reach with conventional massage.

How we work

Our 4-phase protocol

An orderly journey that opens the pathways, lowers stress and balances the systems each person needs.

  1. Min 1-10

    Phase 1

    Cleansing and release

Cleaning with warm towels and oils, ankle mobilizations and metatarsal stretches to loosen the foot and open the nerve pathways.

  2. Min 10-25

    Phase 2

    Core system stimulation

Work on the nervous system points (brain, base of the skull, spine) and the solar plexus to lower cortisol immediately.

  3. Min 25-45/55

    Phase 3

    Organic reset

We travel the map of the foot with the thumb technique ("reflexology walking"), pausing on the systems each person needs to balance.

  4. Last 5 min

    Phase 4

    Drainage and closing

Long, gentle ascending passes from the toes toward the ankle to stimulate venous and lymphatic return. Light, rested feet.

After the session

What to expect in the following hours

Monitoring reactions

It is normal to feel more of an urge to urinate or more digestive activity after the session: your body is actively eliminating toxins.

Thermal protection

After the massage the pores of the foot stay receptive and circulation is very active. Avoid walking barefoot on cold floors right afterward.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about foot reflexology

Why do some specific points hurt during the massage?

Sensitivity in a reflex area usually indicates an accumulation of waste micro-deposits or tension in the corresponding system. It is not muscle pain: it is a nerve sensitivity that decreases as the therapist works the point and dissolves the circulatory stagnation.

Does reflexology have contraindications?

Yes. It should not be performed with deep vein thrombosis (DVT), acute fungal infections (such as severe athlete's foot), open wounds in the area, acute foot sprains or during episodes of high fever. If in any doubt, tell us before booking.

Does it help if I spend many hours on my feet or walk a lot downtown?

Yes, it is one of the best indications. Beyond the general sedative effect, the closing maneuvers reactivate return circulation and clear the heaviness and swelling of feet and legs left by long urban walks.
